A realistic weekly study plan starts with available time and checkable outputs, not a list of subjects.
Map constraints first
Place work, classes, travel, sleep, and other commitments on the calendar. Find the windows that actually remain, including short ones. Do not schedule two evening hours when your normal after-work capacity is thirty focused minutes.
Convert workload into outputs
“Biology for two hours” is vague. Better outputs include:
- retrieve answers to 12 questions;
- solve problems 1–8 and classify errors;
- read one section and write three questions;
- send an essay outline;
- check two sets of earlier material.

Keep at least one window free of new material. It can absorb an error, delay, or review. Distributed practice often helps learning, but research does not prescribe one ideal timetable for every discipline (Dunlosky et al., 2013).
Create full and minimum versions
A full block might be eight problems plus error review. Its minimum could be two problems and one recorded gap. The fallback is for a constrained week; it does not permanently replace course requirements.
At the weekly review, compare estimates with reality and change one variable. A denser punishment schedule rarely repairs a bad estimate.
In Flammy, outputs can be tasks, reviews can repeat as habits, and a larger topic can become a quest. XP makes completed blocks visible; it cannot make an overloaded plan feasible.
