Timebox a Task

How to timebox a task by defining the output, protecting a fixed interval, and deciding what happens when the time ends.

A timebox needs an output, not just a timer. Decide what should exist after twenty-five or fifty minutes.

Remove obvious interruptions and begin with the next visible action. When time ends, stop to record progress, gaps, and the next step.

Then choose deliberately: continue with another box, deliver the current version, or reschedule. Do not let every timebox expand automatically.

Use longer intervals for deep work and shorter ones for aversive entry. The box limits exposure and creates feedback; it does not guarantee completion.
